In an effort to blog more, I wanted to breakdown my monthly Hayley Lately posts into weekly segments. Each week I will share some happy moments: what I’ve been blogging, reading, watching and doing in beautiful Vancouver. Let’s just call it my weekly gratitude journal.
♥ Work, work, work: Oh yeah, I’m using the same bullet point title as last week. It was all about the work, at the Christmas Market and on the food truck. I got the chance to take a peek inside Enchant thanks to my work on the truck, which was awesome. We were right near this photo frame, so I had to grab a photo before the crowds came. The fresh snow made it all the more magical.
♥ All the snow: I can’t believe the snow we had last week. It is funny when I work downtown and there is hardly any snow left on the streets, but my neighbourhood is still a winter wonderland. The forecast for the week is meant to be icy, so I don’t think it will be melting anytime soon, either.
♥ Latest post: Speaking of snow, check out this post for all the snow photos you could possibly want or need. I was so glad I had the day off to enjoy the scenery and capture the moment.
My other job. What a view, right?
♥ Losing Hope: No, I’m not losing hope. That’s just the title of my latest read. It is kind of the sequel to Hopeless, but tells that story from the perspective of the other main character, Holder. It had been awhile since I read Hopeless, so I didn’t remember every detail, which I think is a good thing. It meant some of the story surprised me again. I really enjoyed the way this story was written, as it deals with some big issues.
♥ Jane the Virgin: Thanks to Netflix and one night off during the week, I caught up on the latest season of this show. I LOVED the first season, but I have slowly fallen out of love with the series. I think the reason I loved the first season was because it had this funny/awkward/ridiculous factor, which has slowly diminished. But I hate giving up on shows, so I will probably continue to watch it.
All the snow photos
♥ Star sighting: After over 18 cumulative months living in Vancouver, I had my first celebrity sighting last night. I can’t believe it took this long, seeing as so many TV shows and movies are filmed here. But Robert Buckley was at the markets last night and bought a pretzel. I had to Google him afterwards and show my European workmates just who he was.
I have a six day work week coming up, so not too much fun planned. But tonight I am getting into the Christmas spirit. See you next week!

Oh that is a shame about Jane the Virgin! I loved Season 1 and still need to watch Season 2 in a marathoning session.
Goodluck with your 6 day week!

I’d love to know what you think of season 2, and if it lives up to season 1’s awesomeness ;)
