Welcome back to Hayley Lately. Each Monday, this is where I share some happy moments from the previous week: what I’ve blogged, read, watched and done in beautiful Vancouver.
♥ The week that was. The first three days last week were super chill, and slightly unproductive. Then it was all work, work, work for the other half. The cloudy (and cold, urgh) weather totally had me feeling down and lazy. But sunshine is (literally) on the horizon for the week ahead. Hallelujah!
♥ Watching. I am still making my way through Switched at Birth and Quantico. The latter’s second season just got released on Netflix, which makes viewing a lot easier. There are so many other shows I should watch and catch up on, but I am sticking to these two series for now.
♥ Eating. I didn’t even eat out last week. I know, who am I? But on the menu this week is this delicious-sounding Sweet Potato Pasta Bake. There are so many awesome recipes on the internet these days. I googled pasta + sweet potato + spinach, as that was the produce I had on hand.
♥ Blogging. I had blogger’s block last week and couldn’t think of what to write about next. But I had a major brainstorming session, and asked my friends and family, and came up with a pretty good list of future topics. I just think I need to go on holiday again soon ;)
I published my Guide to Brisbane on the blog last week. I had a few random posts about Brisbane on my blog, from Hayley on Holiday’s beginning, but nothing this comprehensive.
♥ Reading. I seemed to have spent a lot of time on buses last week, so I completed another book and started reading…two more. I finished Hidden Figures, which was recently released as a movie. There were a lot of scientific terms used in the book that confused me. But in the end, what I enjoyed was learning more about these amazing women, and what life was like for them back then. I need to watch the movie now, I think.
♥ Writing. Here are a few stories I got published on Culture Trip: Canadian castles you can stay in, all of the pretty places in the Canadian Rockies, and BC’s Enchanted Forest. The last story got promoted on the website’s Twitter page, which was pretty cool!
This week includes birthday celebrations and celebrating summer!
