If you’re planning on shopping in Sanur, Bali, you’re in for a very different (read: easier) experience than in Canggu or Kuta. It’s calmer and more walkable, where you can wander, browse, stop for a coffee, and repeat.
The main Sanur shopping area is along Jalan Danau Tamblingan, the street that runs parallel to the beach. It’s lined with shops and restaurants, so you can easily spend a whole morning here without even trying. Here’s exactly where I shop in Sanur as a repeat visitor.

Hot tips for visiting Sanur
Before we dive in, let me give you a crash course on visiting Sanur with helpful blog posts:
- If you’re planning on shopping until you drop in Sanur (yeah, you are), staying connected makes everything easier. I highly recommend getting a Bali eSIM (click the link to get a 10% discount with my code HOLIDAY10). I got one before my most recent trip, and it was incredibly quick and easy to install (like, too easy 😅). It kept me connected outside my hotel, and I loved not having to rely on WiFi constantly.
- I have a Sanur accommodation guide, but for my last few visits, I’ve found myself repeatedly staying at Ari Putri Hotel. While the rooms are older, they’re most importantly clean. There are also two on-site pools and a free daily breakfast.
- I also have a long list of things to do in Sanur, plus a long list of Sanur’s best restaurants and bars you must check out.
- Do not drink the tap water. Buy a big container of water at any convenience store for a couple of dollars, and you’ll be set. Just remember to bring insulated, refillable water bottles. I have this smaller bottle from Kmart, which fits perfectly in my handbag. It also comes in a larger size. The good news is you can enjoy ice in your drinks as it’s now government-regulated.
Where to go shopping in Sanur

1. ICON Bali Mall
ICON Bali Mall has completely changed the shopping experience in Sanur. It’s modern, beachfront and blissfully air-conditioned, which is sometimes exactly what you need mid-holiday. Here’s the full mall directory, but you’ll find a little bit of everything:
- Entertainment such as Timezone, a separate kids’ play area, and a cinema.
- International brands, including Uniqlo, Sephora, Flying Tiger, M&S, Coach, and Mango.
- Several air-conditioned and beachside dining options, whether you want fast food or finer dining. My personal favourite is The Daily Baguette for to-die-for pastries and free WiFi!
- The largest indoor floating market in Southeast Asia, where local vendors sell Balinese food and handmade items.
ICON Bali offers a fully-rounded experience, as while shopping you can enjoy daily cultural performances and a sunset water-and-light show. So if you want designer shopping in Sanur, this is your best bet.
2. Mino Jewels
Mino Jewels has a couple of locations along Jalan Danau Tamblingan. The company specialises in affordable, handmade Bali jewellery. The extensive range includes gold and silver rings, bracelets, necklaces, and even colourful stones and crystals. I picked up a silver ring for under $10, but oh, how I could’ve done more damage! If you’re looking for a wearable souvenir to remind you of Bali when you get home, Mino Jewels is a lovely stop.
3. Junglegold Chocolate
Across the road from ICON, Junglegold Bali is the place to shop in Sanur for a unique souvenir. They’re known as the world’s first plant-based chocolate factory. Step inside for free tastings of premium, award-winning, plant-based chocolate. Head here for a more thoughtful souvenir than a fridge magnet!

4. Arta Sedana Sanur
Arta Sedana is the practical stop I always make in Sanur. Downstairs is a supermarket, some clothing and homeware options, cosmetics and even a Periplus Bookshop. Upstairs is essentially a department store, where you’ll find clothing, souvenirs, and accessories for the entire family at fixed prices.
I will say the prices are typically higher than you’ll see on the street. But if you don’t enjoy bargaining, Arta Sedana is your safe space. It’s one of the easiest places to shop in Sanur.
Hot tip: A friend has gotten me onto Hanasui skincare, which you can purchase here or at the Guardian pharmacy up the road. Serums are under $5 each, and so far, my skin likes them!
5. Bamboo Blonde
Bamboo Blonde is a brand that’s been around for years, specialising in classic Bali relaxed resort wear. Think light fabrics, tropical prints and easy summer dresses that work in the heat. It’s stylish without trying too hard. Just note that sizing frustratingly stops at a women’s size 14.
6. Made in Bali stores
There are a couple of Made in Bali stores in Sanur, and they specialise in cotton and linen pieces that are genuinely good quality. If you’re over thin market fabrics and want something breathable but better-made and longer-lasting, this is where I’d go.

7. Filthy Gorgeous
Filthy Gorgeous Accessories is my ride-or-die, my must-visit silver shop in Sanur. I always make a stop every visit, and I always walk away with a new piece of sterling silver jewellery. Across the road from Arta Sedana, the silver selection is vast. It stocks plain silver and silver paired with every coloured jewel of the rainbow! From personal experience, I can tell you the pieces are high quality. I have a particular fondness for their rings and earrings, but they also stock bracelets and necklaces.
8. Bruges Bali Boutique
Bruges Bali Boutique is on the pricier side, but the quality speaks for itself. It specialises in handmade dresses and leather shoes that actually feel like they’ll last. If you prefer buying fewer, better pieces while shopping in Sanur, this one’s worth browsing.
9. Nogo Bali Ikat Centre
If you appreciate traditional craftsmanship, Nogo Bali Ikat Centre is a beautiful stop while shopping in Sanur. Established in 1986, they specialise in ikat and handwoven Indonesian textiles. The colours are vibrant, and the quality is excellent. You can buy garments, scarves or fabric by the metre.

10. Eyerizz Eyewear
This is one of my favourite practical finds while shopping in Sanur. If you wear prescription glasses or sunglasses daily like me, it’s worth popping into Eyerizz Eyewear if you have a few days in Sanur. They provide free eye tests, or you can bring your own prescription. Glasses are far more affordable than in Australia, so it’s very tempting to grab a backup pair from the vast range available.
Hot tip: Since visiting Eyerizz last year, several more optical stores have opened in Sanur. But I only have personal experience with Eyerizz.
11. Magita Home Deco XL
Magita Home Deco XL is full of coastal-inspired home decor, cosy lighting and gift ideas. We’re talking about beachy textures, neutral tones and pieces that bring that relaxed Bali feel into your home. It’s a dangerous shop if you love interiors, and those coastal vibes suit your home.
12. Sesari Gift Shop
Sesari Gift Shop offers more unique, slightly higher-end handmade gifts. If you’re after something that doesn’t scream tourist market, this is a good stop.

13. Nickel-Free Shop
I can’t even find this place on Google Maps! But it’s called the Nickel-Free Shop, and it’s right down the Pasar Sindu (Sindhu Night Market) end of Jl Danau Tamblingan. It has the most affordable and extensive jewellery range, and yeah, I go a little wild here! It’s a great place to visit to stock up on cute Bali bracelets, hair clips, and even anklets without haggling. You’ll also find items in-store to make your own jewellery.
14. ON’KOR Sanur
For something different, ON’KOR is a preloved consignment store selling clothing and homewares in the heart of Sanur. While I haven’t personally had any luck, I definitely recommend browsing while strolling down the main street. I found they have a range of clothing from Australian and international brands, both high-end and more affordable options.
15. GriPP
While there are Havaiana stores in Sanur, GriPP is like the cheaper Bali alternative. Thongs/flip-flops start at around $10 AUD, and the quality is top-notch. Plus, GriPP embraces colour with plain and multi-coloured pairs. My mum is a repeat visitor.

The best shopping markets in Sanur
Let’s talk about the three main Sanur shopping markets.
16. Sindhu Beach Market
Sindhu Beach Market is one of the most popular places for cheap shopping in Sanur. Yes, it can feel a little pushy, so be prepared for everyone to ask you to visit their shop. I’ve found the easiest strategy is to make a beeline straight for Jeny’s 29 on the right-hand side. It’s a fixed-price shop and takes the stress out of it. Jeny is my go-to for replica handbags, but she also has a range of sarongs, sunglasses and clothing.
Hot tip: If you’re thinking about getting clothes made in Sanur, Sarina’s Shop in Sindhu Beach Market is my recommendation. She’s both hilarious and talented.
17. Baruna Beach Market
I don’t typically visit Baruna Beach Market, but it’s also home to several fixed-price shops. However, I’ve heard the vendors are even pushier and more persistent, so practice your patience beforehand 😅. Tootsie’s is one of the better-known shops at Baruna Beach Market.

18. Jaya Kesuma Art Market
This hidden gem of a market, completely down the other end from the other markets, blends art and Bali clothes shopping in Sanur. It’s a nice mix of culture and fashion in one place. A top recommendation is Agus Art Shop, which has a strong selection of paintings and traditional artwork. If you’re planning to bring something bigger home, this is worth a look.

Well, this guide to the best shopping in Sanur should keep you very busy!
My best piece of advice for shopping in Sanur is to go in with a list and start at a fixed-price shop. Then you get an idea of prices, and you can barter more effectively if you find something you want at a traditional shop.
Shopping in Sanur is easy, walkable, and perfectly aligned with the laid-back coastal vibe of the area. Just don’t forget to leave room in your suitcase (or pick up a new carry-on bag at Jeny’s 😉).
FAQs about shopping in Sanur
The main shopping street in Sanur is Jalan Danau Tamblingan, running parallel to the beach. Most boutiques, markets, and gift shops are located along this road (or just off it), making it the best place to begin. It’s flat, easy to walk and perfect for slow browsing.
Seminyak’s shopping focus is more on boutiques rather than traditional Balinese shops. I believe shopping in Sanur is better because you have a wider range of options. You can shop designer brands at ICON Bali Mall and then stroll a couple of minutes up the beach to Sindhu Beach Market to stock up on Balinese clothing and souvenirs. It’s the best of both worlds.
Yes, ICON Bali Mall is the main Sanur shopping mall and home to all your shopping, dining, and entertainment needs.
Arta Sedana is the main supermarket in Sanur.
