Hayley Lately // 06.02.17

Welcome back to Hayley Lately. Each Monday, this is where I share some happy moments from the previous week: what I’ve blogged, read, watched and done in beautiful Vancouver.

♥ Dine Out: One more Dine Out experience, which I talked about last week. My friends and I went to Forage, which looking at the menu is a place I would not normally go to, so I was happy to check it out on this occasion. The food was excellent and my three courses were kale salad, pork belly and a delectable chocolate bar.

♥ Reads: Another two books finished this week! Going strong. I read A Darker Shade of Magic, which is another YA fantasy I had heard about. It was good, but I felt the storyline was lacking. I also finished Lucky Us, a novel set in Hollywood and New York in the 1940s. It was an interesting story with a variety of complex characters. Remember to find me on Goodreads.

♥ Snowmageddon: So, if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the crazy amount of snow that got dumped on Vancouver Friday and Saturday. It was INSANE. The city also kind of went into meltdown with buses being delayed or cancelled due to icy roads. We are expected to get more this week too — lucky I won’t be here!

♥ New post: This week’s new post was about my favourite Melbourne eateries. I still have so much more eating to do in that city.

♥ New camera: So I took my new camera for a spin this week around my neighbourhood (before the snow) and I was so impressed with the photos.

♥ Writing: I worked hard this week to get as much writing done as possible before my holiday! Here is just a glimpse of some of the writing I’ve done so far.

♥ HOLIDAYS: Well today I’m off to HAWAII! I’ll be in Honolulu until Saturday when I fly to Maui. I return to Vancouver next Wednesday. I hope to get a Hayley Lately post up next week to share a little bit about my time in the tropics, but we shall see!
