In an effort to blog more, I wanted to breakdown my monthly Hayley Lately posts into weekly segments. Each week I will share some happy moments: what I’ve been blogging, reading, watching and doing in beautiful Vancouver. Let’s just call it my weekly gratitude journal.
♥ Work: Firstly, I am grateful that I have only been back in Canada for less than three weeks, yet I am already back to work. Income is awesome. So far on the food truck we have been to North Vancouver twice, back to school for a university street party, and a day at the farm. Seriously, so much fun.
♥ Sunsets: Speaking of North Vancouver, it is the place to be for stunning sunsets featuring the Vancouver skyline. I ducked out of the food truck to capture this beauty the other night.
♥ Reunited with my love: I am so excited for all of the premieres of my favourite TV shows coming up over the next two weeks. Starting on Wednesday is Blindspot. I hope its second season is as good as the first.
♥ Home: I am really enjoying my new home. The commute is sometimes a drag, but the rent is cheap, my housemate is nice and the neighbourhood is perfect. Plus my friends are super close by (one is literally across the road), which is a very good, and convenient, added bonus.
♥ Brunch: Red Wagon Cafe and I reunited on Friday and it felt so good. Their brunch is just out of this world. This delicious meal cost me just $13. This would probably cost over $20 in Australia.
♥ Markets: We also checked out the Richmond Night Market on Sunday. I LOVE this market, purely because of all the food on offer. I sampled some chow mein, wontons and a bubble waffle with ice-cream. Heaven. I also had to stop myself from buying all of the cute stationery. I ended up with only two pens, which I think was very controlled of me. The market’s theme this year was dinosaurs, so it was a lot of fun taking funny photos with the different props.
There is a free weekend in my future, so hopefully the weather cooperates to make more adventures happen!
