Welcome back to Hayley Lately. Each Monday, this is where I share some happy moments from the previous week: what I’ve blogged, read, watched and done in beautiful Vancouver.
♥ Working. It was another busy working week for me! Between my three jobs I basically didn’t have a full day off, but that’s okay because I will off travelling and not working in a matter of months.
♥ Blogging. In case you missed it, I revealed all about my next big adventure in last week’s Hayley Lately post. Publishing it and putting it out in the world made it just that more real. I have a lot of planning to do, but I just can’t wait to travel for an extended amount of time again.

♥ Reading. I finished the highly anticipated Into the Water, which is written by the author behind A Girl on the Train. I had heard very mixed reviews about it, as the story was told from several different perspectives. But in the end I liked it more than her debut novel. She definitely enjoys creating dysfunctional characters.
I also finally finished reading The Song Rising, which is the third book in The Bone Season series. I had been periodically reading it on my Kindle. If you like YA fantasy, definitely check it out. It’s sometimes a little hard to follow, but it’s an interesting futuristic look at London, with clairvoyants, dreamwalkers, etc… The author is also younger than me, which blows my mind.
♥ Watching. I’m up to the final season of Switched at Birth, which means only ten episodes left! I’ve totally binged this show, so I don’t know what I’ll replace it with once I’m finished. However, season six of Suits was just released on Netflix, which I need to catch up on.

♥ Eating. To be honest I didn’t cook anything exciting last week. BUT I did try a new-to-me Mexican place called Tacomio. I walk passed it all the time when heading to work, so I’m glad I finally tried it. The burrito was well-priced and delicious, and the staff were very friendly too.
♥ Writing. I wrote an interesting feature on the Sasquatch (a.k.a Bigfoot) and I also did a post on all the fun things to do on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver. I have only visited in winter, which was mesmerising, but there’s a lot of other activities and events in the summertime.
So far this week involves work + some dining out!
