Welcome back to Hayley Lately. Each Monday, this is where I share some happy moments from the previous week: what I’ve blogged, read, watched and done in beautiful Vancouver.
♥ Working. Last week was another uneventful one. I spent my time going for morning walks, watching TV, and working of course! I worked the Tom Petty and Zac Brown Band concerts last week, and I was surprised by the amount of covers Zac did. I was totally singing along the entire time.
Another surprising fact about Zac Brown is that I was introduced to his Chicken Fried song back in 2011 when I travelled around Asia. My roommate used that song as her alarm, so I woke up thinking about fried chicken every morning. I love when songs take me back to a specific moment in time.
♥ Blogging. I got personal on the blog and discussed why I have decided to move home to Australia again. For those who have already read the post, thanks so much for the comments!
♥ Watching. I finished the first season of Travelers last week, which I recommend. I am now onto the last season of Stitchers (told you I’d finish it in no time). I am also catching up on the last seasons of Bones and Suits too, which were recently released on Netflix.
♥ Writing. I wrote some interesting stories last week for Culture Trip, about Jasper, Nunavut (Canada’s fascinating Arctic territory), and a two week itinerary for travelling around British Columbia.
♥ Eating. I am pretty sure I have shared this recipe before, but I got quite a bit of free fruit and veg at the markets the week before last, so I decided to turn that into this delicious pasta bake. Give it a go!
♥ Reading. I finished The Husband’s Secret, which was another great Liane Moriarty novel. Seriously, if you haven’t picked up one of her books yet, do yourself a favour. They are all based in Sydney and focus on families. What Alice Forgot is still my favourite.
♥ Planning. I have slowly started to plan my trip. It’s less than six weeks now, so I am hoping to have at least the first month planned before I leave, which is SO exciting. Planning trips is seriously one of my favourite things.
