In an effort to blog more, I wanted to breakdown my monthly Hayley Lately posts into weekly segments. Each week I will share some happy moments: what I’ve been blogging, reading, watching and doing in beautiful Vancouver. Let’s just call it my weekly gratitude journal.
♥ My friend and I checked out the new Tsawwassen Mills Mall outside Vancouver. I thought it would be more outlet, bargain shopping, but it was really just another mall. It did have some cool design features though, and I did purchase a couple of things, so it wasn’t a totally bad day. I’d like to check it out after the seasonal sales and see if it is a bit more bargain-friendly then.
♥ Did you check out last week’s new post? It was a big one, but I listed everything you need to know about moving to Vancouver. I hope it helps future expats.
♥ I worked at the Kanye West concert on Monday night, and it was so different to the concerts I worked in Australia. The bass vibration was insane, the line for merchandise was over an hour long, and the crowd was a lot more restless. Maybe I just worked at tame concerts back home? Who knows!
I have also worked with some really nice people so far, which always helps when you are getting settled in a new role.
♥ I haven’t been working a lot this week, so you know I’ve been watching TV instead. I checked out the new TV show, Timeless. Firstly I was drawn to it because it is filmed in Vancouver. But the premise is quite interesting as they travel back in time to stop a criminal from changing American history. The nerd in me loves that part.
♥ Carmen and I had a little blogging session on Friday night at the local Starbucks. It’s cool to have someone as interested in blogging as me, even though we focus on different topics. If you like beauty, she’s your girl!
♥ Saturday was catch-up night with my friends too. We checked out Anh and Chi, a Vietnamese restaurant on Main Street. It was good food, but we did have to wait 20 minutes for a table, and I don’t think it was THAT good. We then went for a drink at Tap and Barrel. Nights out with them are what I missed most in Melbourne.
♥ I finished reading After You this week, after watching Me Before You last week. I was sceptical at the beginning, as the novel was heading in a weird direction, but I ended up really enjoying it. I think I am going to have to read more Jojo Moyes.
This week there is a little work before I am reunited with my favourite partner-in-crime, Kate! I can’t wait.

When you write it down, it does make it seem like I did quite a bit! I like your pumpkin emojis ;)
