Welcome back to Hayley Lately. Each Monday, this is where I share some happy moments from the previous week: what I’ve blogged, read, watched and done in beautiful Vancouver.
♥ Life. Last week was INTENSE. I worked five out of seven days, which meant a lot of late nights and a lot of time spent on buses. Fortunately, I got to work some cool concerts, like Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran! I have to say, if you get the chance to see Bruno Mars, his show sounded awesome. There was also a lot of confetti used in the making of his concert.
I did do one fun non-work related adventure last week (yeah, just one!) Eric and I did brunch at my favourite, Red Wagon, before going to take photos in front of this awesome rainbow mural in South Granville. We spent about 20 minutes taking a lot of different shots, which involved us walking toward the camera, jumping in the air, “casually” walking passed… it was a lot of fun.
♥ Blogging. I published a post on Where to Stay in Legian last week, because my top two posts on the blog are also Bali posts. So I thought this would help people who come to the blog looking for packing list tips and places to eat in Legian.
♥ Reading. I finished reading The Couple Next Door, which I thought was going to be more twisted than it was (I’ve been reading too many thrillers lately, obviously). Basically, a baby goes missing from her home, and it’s all about figuring out who took her. It was a good read, and better than A Girl on The Train in my opinion, which is what it’s being compared to. I really didn’t like the protagonist in that book! I’m currently reading Modern Lovers, which is by Emma Straub. So far, so good.
♥ Watching. Guys, working nearly every night meant basically no TV time for me. I did watch a few Party of Five episodes though. Yep, that show from the 90s. It’s on Netflix so I thought I’d check it out. I’m currently up to season 4, but in my defence I’ve been watching it on-and-off since April.
♥ Writing. A favourite story I wrote this week was on activities to do alone in Vancouver. As a solo adventurer, this was right up my alley!
A short and sweet recap this week. I hope you all have a good week!
