When you think of family-friendly European destinations, your mind probably doesn’t instantly wander to Ibiza. This notorious Spanish island is known for its vibrant nightlife. But today, I’m here to show you several family-friendly things to do in Ibiza with kids.

Hotel Cala Verde Es Figueral in Ibiza, Spain.

Best family resort in Ibiza

First, you’ll need somewhere to stay on your family holiday, right? Invisa Club Cala Verde is sure to tick all your boxes. It’s a four-star beachfront resort with both buffet and a la carte restaurants on site and an all-inclusive option.

But let’s talk about the fact it has 5000 square metres of fun for the kids. Let me list all the goodies waiting for them:

  • Invilandia is a fully-staffed mini club with a pool and recreational activities.
  • There’s a pirate-themed water area with slides, waterfalls, and fountains (professional supervision included).
  • Every recreational sport imaginable is available, including tennis, table tennis, water polo, volleyball, and badminton.
  • There’s a children’s menu at the buffet restaurant and a specially reserved area where they can spend more time with the friends they make at Invilandia.
  • Es Figueral Beach is perfect for families as it has clear, calm, and shallow water.

Family-friendly things to do in Ibiza

If you can tear yourself away from this beautiful hotel, here are just some of the adventures awaiting you in family-friendly Ibiza.

Family-friendly things to do in Ibiza: have brunch and swim by the pool at a beach club.

1. Visit a family-friendly beach club

Beach clubs and Ibiza go hand-in-hand. Fortunately, many cater to families. Beachhouse has a complimentary supervised kids’ club that includes Ibiza-inspired arts and crafts, kid yoga sessions, face painting and games. The children’s menu is also filled with nutritious and delicious treats.

A similar alternative is El Chiringuito and its Little Chiringuito kids’ club. Trained professionals are there to guide your little ones through drawing, painting, bracelet making and sandcastle building. The children’s menu also features an international array of healthy dishes.

A final option is Bam-Bu-Ku and their weekend family brunch, aptly named Fam-Bu-Ku. Pair delicious food with entertainment and activities the whole family will enjoy.

2. Go on a boat trip

Beach hopping is definitely one of the most popular things to do in Ibiza with kids. But go one step further with this family boat cruise. This tour is designed for kids, so it perfectly combines education and entertainment.

A marine biologist leads a live presentation about the marine life they’ll see before he guides a snorkelling tour. There’s plenty of time to swim and snorkel before a buffet lunch and an optional treasure hunt.

Tip: See local marine life on dry land at Cap Blanc Aquarium.

3. Have a fun day at the beach

Want to just go to the beach and skip the club? Here are the best family-friendly beaches in Ibiza:

  • Cala Bassa is a shallow cove with rock pools, perfect for kids who want to snorkel or explore. Water sports like pedalos, skis, kayaks, and banana inflatables are also available on the beach.
  • Cala Llonga has a lot going for it, including a wide sandy shoreline. A children’s playground, a small amusement park, pedalos, and affordable restaurants are nearby.
  • Cala Tarida is similar to Cala Bassa. It has the most stunning azure water, which is always shallow, clear, and calm. Pedalos, jet skis, and volleyball are also available.

4. Visit a waterpark

There are two fantastic waterparks to check out in Ibiza. Aguamar Water Park is undoubtedly the most popular. It has so many water slides and attractions, including the Black Hole, the high-speed Kamikaze, and Rio Aventura.

There’s also a large children’s play area with swimming pools, more slides and water games. Adults can enjoy relaxing on the lawned area, with its sun loungers and umbrellas.

Sirenis Aquagames is the other option. It’s very similar, with another spacious children’s play area and a Kamikaze slide. But there’s also the Tornado, which lives up to its name.

Tip: If you happen to visit when the weather turns, head indoors to Minibiza. It offers interactive workshops on most summer afternoons.

5. Go to the market

Punta Arabi Hippy Market celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. Over 400 artisans and artists sell handicrafts, fashion, jewellery, antiques, and more at this market every Wednesday. There are live performances and an exclusive area for kids to become budding artisans and enjoy face painting, t-shirt, and flower crown making.

Are you looking for more hippy markets? Las Dalias Hippy Market is another option for kids with interactive arts and crafts workshops. Then there’s Forada Market, a farmer’s market with a petting zone.

Family holidays don’t get better than this. Now you’ve seen all the fun, family-friendly things to do in Ibiza, are you ready to book a family vacation to Ibiza?
