Where To Stay in Brooklyn

If you’re searching for Brooklyn accommodation, here are four of the best hotels in Brooklyn.

Across the water from Manhattan, Brooklyn is definitely a popular destination for both tourists and residents alike. With hip neighbourhoods such as Williamsburg and Bushwick, Brooklyn is a great place to base yourself when exploring New York City. I did just that when I visited the city two years ago. To follow in my footsteps, check out these four boutique hotels in Brooklyn.

Boutique hotels in Brooklyn

Hotel Le Jolie

Located in Williamsburg, Hotel Le Jolie is a great central hotel option. Within walking distance, guests will find subway stations, popular Bedford Avenue, the Brooklyn Brewery and Williamsburg Bridge. After a busy day of exploring, you’ll enjoy returning to the Hotel Le Jolie, as every room has a Tempur-Pedic mattress, down pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets. The hotel offers three dining packages too. The Pizza Package includes a pizza with two toppings and soda. The Brewery Package provides you with freshly brewed beer to accompany your stay at the hotel. The Dinner in New York package also allows you to enjoy a four-course Italian meal at Bamonte’s Restaurant.

Pointe Plaza Hotel

From Pointe Plaza Hotel, you can easily walk across the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. This means you are only a leisurely stroll from Manhattan. Every hotel room is soundproof and includes blackout drapes – an excellent combination that guarantees a good night’s rest after a bustling day in New York City. Some of the larger suites even include a stovetop and refrigerator, which will help stretch your money further in the city. There’s also a free shuttle service to nearby transit stations for added convenience. Pointe Plaza is also next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which runs daily tours if that takes your fancy.

Nu Hotel

If you desire a boutique hotel that features incredible design and a cosmopolitan vibe, check out NU Hotel Brooklyn. This is a great option for families, as there’s an onsite childcare service, which allows parents to enjoy a worry-free date night in the beautiful Big Apple. The hotel also offers packages to guests, which include entry to museums, access to the water taxis or a day tour of the city. Its Brooklyn Heights location means you are close to the water, and thus the Lower Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty views.

Hotel Le Bleu

Hotel Le Bleu is located in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighbourhood. The hotel offers guests a complimentary Fresh Start Breakfast basket every morning, which is brimming with baked goods and yoghurt. In each room, you also have access to Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. These are obviously best enjoyed on your open-air terrace in the warmer months. The lovely hotel concierges are happy to assist you with booking tours and tickets, or organising limousine and car rental. From Hotel Le Bleu, guests are close to a few excellent performance venues: the Howard Gilman Opera House, Harvey Lichtenstein Theatre and Rose Cinemas.

By choosing to stay in Brooklyn you get to see a different side to New York City. What’s not to love about that?
