8 Reasons Tesalate Is The Best Travel Towel

This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please read the full disclosure policy here.

Let me introduce you to the best travel towel you must pack for your next trip!

I’ve shared several packing lists on my blog, and one item I always include is a quick-drying, packable travel towel. While they’re a no-brainer for beach holidays, they’re just as useful if you’re staying in hostels (where towels aren’t guaranteed) or heading off on a camping trip. Today, I’m reviewing one of the most popular travel towels on the market—Tesalate. Here are eight reasons you’ll want to grab what I’m calling the best travel beach towel before your next getaway.

8 Reasons Tesalate offers the best travel towel

1. They have the most fun designs

Let’s start with the most important reason you need a Tesalate towel in your life: the designs are seriously fun. Their vast range of sand-free beach towels makes it almost impossible to choose. You can go classic with stripes, lean into the coastal vibes like I did, or even grab a special SpongeBob towel. Living on a tropical island, the Island Vibes design spoke to me. The towels are also double-sided for double the fun.

2. The travel towels are BIG

Another reason Tesalate makes the best travel towels is that they don’t skimp on size. The towel size is 160cm x 80cm – essentially a standard towel.

A towel so big it doubles as a picnic blanket!

3. They’re the original sand-free beach towel

We all know the pain of bringing half the beach home with us in our cotton towels and belongings! Fortunately, that’s a thing of the past, thanks to Tesalate’s sand-free beach towel. Made with their unique AbsorbLite™ fabric, this design means sand slips off easily, even when wet. The result? Comfier, cleaner, and all-around better beach days.

4. They’re quick-dry towels

As mentioned, Tesalate towels are made with high-performance AbsorbLite™ fabric, which takes microfibre to the next level. Polyester and polyamide (nylon) are the main components, just like standard travel towels, but with added sand-free tech. And when Tesalate calls it a quick dry travel towel, they mean it. The wet towels soak up twice as much water as a regular towel and dry in half the time. That’s pretty much magic! I don’t think any other travel towel can beat that dry time.

5. The compact towels pack away easily

Being lightweight and compact is the goal when you want a towel for travelling. You don’t want it taking up precious suitcase space reserved for your travel gear. Well, Tesalate’s towels tick this box. Despite being full-size, the packable towel folds down easily and fits neatly into the free pouch provided. The lightweight towel also won’t weigh down your day bag or tote.

6. Handy hook included

Another thoughtful touch? The built-in hook in the towel’s corner. It’s a small feature that makes a big difference. It’s ideal for hanging on the back of a hostel shower door or letting the wet towel dry quickly on the go. A simple addition that makes Tesalate the best backpacking towel.

7. All towels are Australian-designed

With such fun, vibrant, and coastal-inspired designs, it’s no surprise Tesalate towels are 100% Australian-designed. You can truly see the Aussie beach culture reflected in every print. Designed with both style and function in mind, they’re made to stand out on the sand, at the pool, or wherever your travels take you.

8. They’re easy to wash

Rest assured, if your Tesalate towel gets dirty after a day at the beach, an extended backpacking trip, or an outdoor hiking adventure, it’s no drama—just pop it in the washing machine. Tesalate recommends a cold machine wash followed by air-drying, which the towel makes easy thanks to its ultra-fast drying time. Whether you’re using it as a backpacking, beach, or camping towel, it’s built to thrive in all environments.

I hope this Tesalate towel review shows why you must say goodbye to traditional towels when packing for your next trip.

Compact, lightweight, rapid-drying, sand-free, and machine washable. Oh, and cute! Tesalate delivers the best travel towel with multiple uses. With a five-star rating and approaching 50,000 reviews, it’s clear they’re a fan favourite. Grab your own Tesalate towel today.

Tesalate kindly gifted me this towel, but all thoughts are my own.

Travel towel FAQs

What is the best material for travel towels?

A microfibre travel towel is the best option. It’s lightweight and quick-drying.

Are Turkish towels better than microfiber for travel?

For travel, I’d choose microfibre over a Turkish towel. A microfiber travel towel is quick-drying, compact, and ultra-absorbent. People prefer Turkish cotton towels because they’re softer and sand-free, but a Tesalate towel ticks both these boxes.

What size towel is best for travel?

With a compact and lightweight travel towel like Tesalate, you can afford to travel with a full-size towel. There’s no need to save space with a smaller towel like a gym towel.
