Where To Stay in Ocean City, Maryland

If Ocean City sounds familiar, it is because I have featured the Maryland town on the blog before. I previously listed the many things visitors can do in Ocean City during winter, as it’s primarily known for being a summer holiday city. But it doesn’t matter what season you visit, as these five Ocean City hotels will have all guests relaxing in comfort.

5 great Ocean City hotels

Fenwick Inn

Located in northern Ocean City, Fenwick Inn is just a block from the foreshore. The inn has a rooftop bar and restaurant for spectacular sea views, as well as an indoor pool to enjoy year-round. Fenwick Inn is close to the Ocean City Boardwalk and is best for families who are after a quieter experience, away from the Spring Breakers and summer vacationers.

Flagship Oceanfront Hotel

For people on a budget, look no further than Flagship Oceanfront Hotel. This Ocean City property offers a lot for a small price, including indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s pool and a play area. There are also barbecues and a fitness centre, so there’s truly something for all guests at the Flagship Oceanfront Hotel. The property is located at the end of the boardwalk, which means all the Ocean City action is just a short stroll away.

Flamingo Motel

Flamingo Motel can also be found off the boardwalk, so it’s a great option for summer holidays. The retro-yet-renovated motel is on the beach, and many of its 110 rooms and suites have ocean views. The rooms are large, geared towards families and large groups travelling together, as many accommodate up to six people. They also each include a refrigerator and microwave for added convenience. Along with the indoor and outdoor pools and sundeck, guests may never want to leave Flamingo Motel.

Grand Hotel & Spa

For luxury and business travellers, head to Grand Hotel & Spa. The hotel has something for everyone: conference rooms, meeting spaces, a business centre and a full-service spa. Guests can enjoy sea views from their balconies, as Grand Hotel is directly on the Ocean City Boardwalk and beach. The hotel also has two pools, but the outdoor pool includes a bar.

Harrison Hall Hotel

Harrison Hall Hotel is about beachfront charm and elegance. There’s a grand porch with rocking chairs that overlooks the boardwalk, where guests can sit and sip their free tea and coffee 24 hours a day. Or perhaps enjoy an apple from the constantly restocked bowl in the lobby. It also has a guarded beach area with umbrella and chair rental, which adds to a hassle-free summer holiday. The biggest stress of the day might be choosing between the beach and the Olympic-sized swimming pool with bar.

There are many great Ocean City hotels, which are conveniently located on the beach and close to the city’s famous boardwalk. No matter where you stay, you’ll never be far from the heart and action of Ocean City. That’s what’s important, in every season.
