Where To Stay in Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore is historically known as an important seaport, thanks to its location on the East Coast. Fort McHenry, in Baltimore’s Inner Harbour, is even the birthplace of America’s national anthem. If you’re after a city escape that includes water, tasty seafood, history and fun, perhaps Baltimore should be your next destination. Here are five Baltimore hotels awaiting your arrival.

Five great Baltimore hotels

Perfect for families

Brookshire Suites Baltimore’s Inner Harbour is conveniently positioned close to the famous Inner Harbour and all of Baltimore’s downtown highlights. It’s a sophisticated and sleek boutique hotel, with a polished and vibrant interior. Enjoy a drink (coffee, craft beer or local wine) at the onsite RedBAR and mingle with other guests in the open communal space. The suites are great for families too, with kitchenettes, extra space and in-room Wi-Fi. There are complimentary breakfast daily and laundry, dry cleaning and concierge services available. Within walking distance, guests will not only find the harbour but the local aquarium and Port Discovery Children’s Museum.

For culture lovers

Visitors wanting to be close to the best Baltimore attractions and venues will enjoy staying at Hotel Brexton. The hotel’s located in a beautiful historic building. It’s just a short stroll from places such as Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Walters Art Museum and Washington Monument. Each room includes complimentary internet, coffee making facilities, a sitting area and iPod docking stations. Rates begin from $120 per night, making Hotel Brexton an affordable Baltimore accommodation option.

Close to the action

For a hotel with reasonable prices and a downtown location, choose the Baltimore Harbour Hotel. Inner Harbour is just a 10-minute stroll from this hotel, but its amenities might make it hard to leave the premises. There’s a luxurious rooftop pool, business and fitness centres, complimentary deluxe breakfast and laundry service available. Dogs are welcome to stay, as long as they’re under 50 pounds. Room rates start from $100 a night, which is a great deal for this location.

The hotel offers free parking and a shuttle service that can transport guests to John Hopkins Hospital, the Cruise Terminal and Inner Harbour. There is also a 24-hour business centre, indoor pool, and Tradewinds Restaurant and Bar onsite. Visitors looking for a luxurious stay should consider upgrading to the Jacuzzi Suite or Executive Room.

A Victorian beauty

Established in a Victorian property from the 1880s, Biltmore Suites Hotel is a beautiful and boutique Baltimore base. The hotel has just 25 rooms and suites, which each include a microwave and refrigerator. The suites also have a separate bedroom and living area. There are a private courtyard, complimentary Wi-Fi access and free breakfast daily. Less than a five-minute walk away, guests will find the Washington Monument, Walter Arts Museum and Maryland Historical Society.
