Where To Stay in Florida

When I think about Florida, my mind immediately conjures up images of the beach, the sun, and Disney, of course. The best part is that you can enjoy the water and sunshine year-round, thanks to the state’s tropical climate. But just how do you choose where to stay? Here are five boutique hotels in Florida to help you decide.

Florida hotels

At Universal Orlando’s entrance

You can’t get any closer to Universal Orlando than the DoubleTree by Hilton. Guests can choose to stay in either a room or spacious suite, with rates starting from a reasonable $115 per night. There are three restaurants on-site, plus the Spritz Lobby Bar and always-necessary Starbucks. Other great amenities on offer include a fitness centre, heated pool, business centre and conference space. The hotel has a shuttle that can drop you at SeaWorld and Wet ‘n Wild as well.

The Orlando suite life

If you prefer staying in a larger suite, check out The Point Orlando Resort. There are studios and one- and two-bedroom suites available, which include leather furnishings, granite bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi. The studios feature a kitchenette while the other suites have full-sized kitchens, too. The resort has a shuttle to take you to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld, so your holiday is sorted from the moment you check-in.

A shore thing on Pensacola Beach

If you are in need of a beachside holiday, choose SpringHill Suites Pensacola Beach. The hotel is located directly by the ocean, so you don’t have to go far to sink your feet into the town’s famous white sand beach. The 117 rooms each include a sofa bed, sitting room, free Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette. Fuel up each morning at the complimentary buffet breakfast, and enjoy the free coffee daily in the lobby. The resort offers free on-site parking as well, which is definitely an added bonus on vacation.

For the golfers

If you are looking for a golf-orientated getaway, then the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa is for you. There are two championship golf courses on-site at the resort. Guests can also choose from 13 different accommodation options, including suites, rooms, and villas. The resort has plenty to keep you busy, including pools, a sauna, a full-service spa, biking and jogging trails, and miniature golf. Plus Ponte Vedra Beach’s shopping, restaurants, and beach are all nearby.

Family-friendly Orlando fun

For the family vacation, check out Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Studio City. Guests receive exclusive benefits at Universal Studios, which include discounts on merchandise, food, and drinks. There is also a complimentary shuttle to the theme park from the hotel, for added convenience. The hotel has many family-friendly activities, such as ice cream socials and magic shows. With rates starting from $109 per night, the Four Points by Sheraton is a very affordable boutique hotel in Orlando.

So the question is, which city and boutique hotel will you choose for your next sunny escape to Florida?
