Where To Stay in Los Angeles

This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please read the full disclosure policy here.

Here’s a selection of great Los Angeles hotels.

Los Angeles may be known for being the home of thousands of celebrities, but there’s more to the bustling Californian metropolis than its famous residents. LA is also home to great surfing beaches and year-round summer temperatures. I loved visiting Santa Monica, stalking the stars and participating in a Warner Bros. Studio Tour when I was there. If you’re in the mood for some celebrity spotting and sunshine, choose Los Angeles as your next travel destination.

5 great Los Angeles hotels

Dive into The Dixie

Known for being used as a location in many television shows and movies, The Dixie Hollywood is definitely a stylish stay. It’s located on Hollywood Boulevard, which means guests are mere steps from the Walk of Fame and Dolby Theatre. The hotel has an outdoor pool, a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff. It also welcomes dogs and cats, as long as they weigh under 25 pounds. Your pet might just love Los Angeles as much as you.

Head downtown and Stay on Main

Located in Downtown Los Angeles, Stay on Main is an interesting accommodation option, as it offers both hotel and hostel-type rooms. Guests can choose between dorm rooms with shared bathrooms or private rooms with private bathrooms. But everyone has access to the fitness centre, communal kitchen, games room and movie lounge. There’s also a complimentary continental breakfast daily and afternoon snacks. Visitors are within walking distance to the Fashion and Arts Districts too.

Luxury at the Wilshire

If you’re after a more luxurious option, check out Hotel Wilshire, a Kimpton Hotel. The hotel offers rooms, studios and suites, which all include a balcony, animal print robes, free Wi-Fi, minibars and beds fitted with luxurious Italian linen. Hotel Wilshire offers a shoeshine service, valet laundry, 24-hour business centre and nightly wine hour. Guests will find it hard to go exploring West Hollywood when they see the rooftop swimming pool next to the restaurant and bar.

An Ace deal

Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles has a range of options, from small rooms to suites. The medium rooms include a terrace, while the lofts and suites have a kitchenette. The pet-friendly Ace Hotel is all about the extras though. This includes a rooftop bar with nightly entertainment, a 24-hour fitness centre, juice bar, outdoor pool and free bicycle rentals. The bikes will come in handy for exploring Downtown L.A and its many interesting districts.

Century City stay

Century City is home to many film and television headquarters and Century Plaza is in the heart of the action. It’s a whopping 19 stories tall with 726 rooms. The on-site Equinox Fitness Club and Spa includes classes, fitness coaches and over 20 treatment rooms. There’s also a restaurant, bar and coffee shop at Century Plaza, where guests can definitely do some celebrity spotting. Every room has a balcony, which may offer views of the L.A. skyline, swimming pool or surrounding mountains.

So the next time you need some extra sunshine in your life, head to California and choose one of these Los Angeles hotels. You never know who you might run into. For more LA inspiration, here are the best things to do and my favourite restaurants.
