Hayley Lately // 03.10.16

In an effort to blog more, I wanted to breakdown my monthly Hayley Lately posts into weekly segments. Each week I will share some happy moments: what I’ve been blogging, reading, watching and doing in beautiful Vancouver. Let’s just call it my weekly gratitude journal.

♥ What am I grateful for? Although I have been feeling under the weather most of the week, I am pretty sure thanks to the change in seasons, I could be feeling a lot worse. But I am surviving and sleeping and all will be okay (hopefully sooner rather than later!).

♥ The view of Vancouver from North Vancouver is just something else.

♥ We did trivia again this week, and even though it was tough, we ended up in the middle of the pack. The hardest questions are usually the “guess the artist and song.” When they are not big hits I have absolutely no clue.

♥ I had two training events at Rogers Arena this week, and I have my first shift today! What I learned from the training is that the company really want everyone to feel like part of the Vancouver Canucks team, which is pretty exciting for this Aussie.

♥ At one of the events I got my photo with Fin, the team’s mascot. He’s cool.

♥ Did you catch last week’s blog post? I gave the scoop on my favourite places to get perfect Melbourne skyline photos. I am really glad I moved there, even if it was only for a short time.

♥ I got a lovely email last week to say I was named one of the top money-saving blogs by Survey Bee. The fact they chose my blog among the thousands out there is special indeed!

♥ The only thing better than free food is absolutely delicious free food. I sampled Vij’s (again) and got to try Soho Road Naan Kebab. I love that they use naan in place of a usual kebab wrap. It is unreal.

This week I am actually working quite a bit (my bank account will be happy). But hopefully I fit in an adventure or two as well. See you next Monday, which is Thanksgiving here!
